The proposed plans for Southampton’s £15m Sea City Museum are being exhibited at the Southampton Art Gallery until 12 February.
On show will be the architect’s model and the museum design model. (Sourced from Invest in Southampton.)
The display also explains how important the new museum is to the city’s evolving Cultural Quarter.
This display follows the planning application, submitted in January, and includes some of the documents that are included in the application.
It will also include content from the submission for Heritage Lottery funding, the result of which should be known in late March or April.
The museum will reshape the city’s Civic Centre. It is expected to attract 150,000 visitors a year and will transform the old magistrates’ court.
It will also provide a space that will attract some of the biggest international touring museum collections.
